I laquered my lips in a dark Chanel stain, smothered my australian skin with rosewater oil & took a self portrait. Sometimes there's no other way to get through the rainy day.

Trawling to Byron Bay
Road tripping from Sydney to Byron Bay was the itinerary for the week / The weather was stunning & the op shops were full of treasures along the way. We stopped in at Bulahdelah (where there is the yummiest little bakery & op shop in a little church), Coffs Harbour (which has about 5 op shops just off the Pacific Hwy), Yamba & obviously Byron & surrounding towns.
Heres some snapshots of the trip:

Two of my favourite men & a gorgeous cemetery at sunset
The View from Byron Coffee shop
Stole most of this outfit from my brothers wardrobe, Hat = Dad's vintage collection from his childhood, & the silver bracelet I purchased just before this pic from a garage sale 50c (hence the big smile)
High tide at Lennox Head
My favourite Singer friend Candice Cassagrande & I at Byron Beach
Roadtrippin
This store is in COFFS but wasn't open the day I passed through. boohoo
Kayaking on Lake Maquarie
Dolphin spotting on the eastern most point of Australia
I had to add this little Kayaking number - overalls remind me of summer

Japan : Osaka & Surroundings
Here is my Photo Diary of the Magnificent, Wondrous Japan:
To avoid the hustle & bustle of Tokyo I headed to Osaka to experience something a little more quaint & historic. We also did a trip to Kyoto (which was my personal favorite) & Koyasun which was a beautiful little Buddhist town filled with snow & ancient graveyards.
Most people commented that I visited Japan too early as the Cherry Blossoms would start to bloom in a couple of weeks. So all the more reason to start planning a Spring trip for the future!

Denim is not Dead : Stockholm
This week I travelled to Stockholm, Sweden and I was caught completely unawares of how magnificent this city is.
I started by walking around the old town and became short of breath at the beauty of the small streets, colourful churches and the royal palace. As I continued I became increasingly aware of the change in atmosphere around me. I had walked from the clean cut, more commercial Island of Stockholm into the hipster style island of Sodermalm. It was then I discovered the meaning of cool, found the best coffee, bookshops, vintage stores and the rest.
Of course Sweden is world famous for Acne,Cheap monday and Nudie but I wanted to take a more under-ground tour of the fashion capital so I had some friends of friends take me on adventures around the undiscovered areas. But of course, like any tourist, I ended up at the Acne Studio and bought my first set of pistols.
So denim is not dead & Stockholm certainly isn't either.

Maria Grachvogel : London Fashion Week
This week I had the pleasure of attending one of London's most luxurious fashion show's - Maria Grachvogel. Set in the Ballroom of the iconic Savoy Hotel, we entered into extravagant classical music, gold chandeliers, mirrors and a buzz of excitement from the guests.
The lights dimmed and models emerged in all their glory with flowing silk jumsuits and gowns, incredible work of drapery, in the deepest golds and greens (my favourite colours!) The outfits were finished with intricate body chains and beige knee high boots.
Such a elegant start to Fashion week & I'm excited to see more! But off to Stockholm tomorrow so I'llbe posting from there!
Heres my photo diary of both the show & some of the guests:
